About Us
Our Music
We play music from the 60's through today - from classic rock to pop to country to folksy singer songwriters. We try to mix in a little something for everyone.
Who We Are
We are a group of musicians with a common goal; to have fun playing music. Whether we are rehearsing together in Phil's basement or sharing our music with a big crowd, we like to have a good time. A really cool thing happens when the band is having fun. The crowd has fun too!
The Fifth
Not everyone can be a fifth. We draw from a pool of incredible musicians we have played with over the years to expand our range. When we don’t have a fifth, we still manage to have a great time, and actually sound pretty good too!

Frequent Fifths
Sometimes we have a guest vocalist sing with us to expand our range. Other times, a keyboard player will join us to fill out the sound even more. There are even times when we add a sixth or even seventh member! All of our fifths are accomplished musicians who have proven themselves time and time again. Here are a few of our favorite fifths:
John Williams - Vocals
When John W joins us on stage, his vocals give us a harder edge and fuller sound. John and Tim met while playing in a Covid-thwarted band called Bob’s Garage. When not performing with the fellas, John can often be found on stage performing his solo act.
Carl Pickett - Keyboards, Bass
Carl expands our musical offerings with his keyboard prowess and impressive high harmonies. Carl can also be found on stage with many other local performers, including multiple iterations of The Liuzzo Band.
Bryin “Zig” Herzig - Bass, Vocals
Zig’s primary gig is with Faded Vinyl, another great CNY band. He brings his years of experience, his incredible bass sound, and his general good nature to the band. Zig and Tim met in 6th grade and have been playing music together since high school.

Phil Nagy
Drums, Vocals
Phil is the anchor of the group. His solid rhythms keep us grounded. We also keep him around because his wife tolerates our rehearsals in their basement.
Tim Marris
Guitar, Vocals
Tim is our lead guitar player and often reluctant lead singer. He functions as conductor who tries to keep us on task (“Please call me Maestro”).
Jonathan Liuzzo
Vocals, Guitar, Sax
Jonathan gives us a different dimension with his classic crooner voice. He started as a “fifth,” but it became obvious pretty quickly that he deserved full “fella” status! Jonathan and his dad perform all over the area as the Liuzzo Duo.
John Liuzzo
Guitar, Harmonica, Vocals
John Lou wails on the harp and jams on the axe. You can see him perform pretty much any day of the week with 4 Fellas, The Liuzzo Band, The Liuzzo Duo, The Liuzzo Trio, or The Liuzzo solo!
Meet the
Fellas
Mark Fryer
Bass, Vocals
Mark is the “new guy.” Joining Phil to hold down the groove in the rhythm section, he comes to us with years of experience and a ton of terrific stories!
